Loony Squad CAD Challenge (LSCC 2023)
A nimble robot with a powerful tank drive on the chassis and accurate intake is designed to efficiently score 1-pound cubes (purple) into the baskets while traversing over the high terrain. Its fast cycle time, as well as its robust and sleek design won 1st prize in this competition among 25 teams worldwide.

Detailed explanation of the robot can be found here: 13356 LSCC Press Release. Contact me for more details of my CAD design
This LSCC game field is highly constrained space around the center where cubes are deposited into 2 baskets. Scores are determined based on the number of cubes scored where purple one (1 lb) are heavier than the green ones (0.5 lb). Balanced baskets at the end earns additional points. Unique Team element can also be scored based on the QR codes on the pivot structure.
My Champion robot design for this game challenge.
Fasr cycle time is achieved by its pass-through delivery system, active intake, efficient outtake. This delivery system eliminates the need for drivers to turn the robot around to score. Cubes picked up from the front are deposited directly via the rapid lift system, which extends up to 3+ ft in less than 0.7s. An innovative tank drive with suspension enables the robot to smoothly traverse over the 1.5" rough terrain without dropping the cubes after pick up.

This robot is equipped with computer vision capability to distinguish the unique QR codes under the baskets to score the team element for more points.
